GERC Dashboard

The Gujarat Power Dashboard is a visual representation of regulatory data for all power sector stakeholders in Gujarat. The dashboard covers Gujarat's publicly owned generation utility — Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL), the transmission utility — Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation Limited (GETCO), and the four state-owned distribution companies: Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited (DGVCL), Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL), Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Limited (PGVCL), and Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL) and privately owned distribution companies.

This comprehensive dashboard leverages publicly available regulatory filings and is designed for researchers, regulators and policy-makers. The dashboard currently has data from 2010–2024, making it a useful tool for time-series analysis. The dashboard can be used to understand questions such as:

• How have fixed utility costs gone up over time?
• How have fuel costs increased over time?
• Have consumer tariffs kept pace with increasing costs?
• Have plant load factors of thermal assets met the normative values?
• How has generation capacity changed over time?
• Have the discoms been profitable?
